Our Story

Tepache

/təˈpäCHē/

Tepache is the name given to a fermented pineapple drink native to southern Mexico. Elaborated by hand with notes of ginger, honey and cinnamon, its earthy complexity is representative of the intricacy, care, and love that form the DNA of the Mexican spirit, Mexican cuisine, and Tepache Mexican Kitchen & Bar.

"We know that a meal consists of more than just excellent food—it includes the relationships nourished along the way."

The

Alebrije

Alebrijes are fantastical creatures that color Mexican folk art with beauty and whimsy.

Our alebrije is a hummingbird. In the culture of the Mayan highlands, the hummingbird serves as a messenger between spiritual and physical worlds, just like our community works as a bridge between Pittsburgh and Mexico.

Our  Team

Our daily operations are headed by owners Jovanny and Jesus Segoviano, two brothers from Jalisco with decades of restaurant experience. Our kitchen is under the talented direction of Mauricio Gómez, culinary prowess from Chiapas. Each team member brings a unique perspective to creating dishes and experiences that reflect the diversity and depth of Mexican culture.
